Hotkeys/automation for master volume?

I would really like to use my Griffin PowerMate to control the master volume in FL Studio, but it appears that there are no hotkeys and you can't automate this value. Does anyone know of a way to adjust the main volume other than using the mouse? It seems pretty silly not to have hotkeys for something like the master volume control, but I don't see any reference to volume on the hotkeys page.

I don't want to have to use the master mixer channel to adjust monitoring volume and I would prefer not to have to use automation, as the PowerMate is not a MIDI device; so using automation would either require a custom controller link (if that's even possible) or sending MIDI from AutoHotkey. On that topic - is it possible to link automation to the typing keyboard and use that as psuedo-hotkeys?

If there's really no way to adjust master volume aside from dragging the knob with the mouse, then I guess I would automate the level adjustment on a parametric EQ on the master mixer channel (and use AHK to send MIDI), but that's a really hacky work-around.
