Make a solo in performance mode

Hi everyone. The issue is simple : I would like to use my launchpad in piano mode to play my vst during performance mode (like in normal mode) in order ton make live solos, but every time i play the project, it automatically uses all my launchpad input to trigger samples and paterns no matter if my launchpad is in piano mode or not. do you have any idea on what i can do ?
