Understanding the Mixing board

(Skip to the bottom for the question)

I was mixing my project and had to use Gross Beat in the master for one part of the song, But what I found was it was clipping over 0db, which was strange since i had soft clip on the master, So I decided to use the "Current" channel in the mixing board (Which is the metering channel with no volume slider) and put a second soft clip on that, And my issue was solved!

Q: So is this meant to be a little Easter egg? or a functioning secondary master channel.. Or maybe this is the true master channel..? All help is appreciated :?
