Exporting multiple tracks in other formats than WAV

Hello,

I have been trying to export the tracks of my project in the MP3 or FLAC format (to save some space), but even though I check the "Split Mixer Tracks" box, I always end up with only one file (the whole song). When I select WAV, I do not have this problem (I indeed have all the tracks from the mixer). Am I doing something wrong? Or is it just impossible to have multiple tracks when checking other formats than WAV? Unfortunately, the guide and the tutorial does not say anything about this.
