Scientifics materials for acoustics effects

Dear FL Studio developers and users,

To begin with, I am a student form Poland who would like to achieve an engineer degree in Electronics. Because I use FL Studio, I would like to write my thesis close to music production - my topic is "An Implementation of acoustics effects in C language and MatLAB".

I would like to ask you, if you have some materials or books recommendation how to implement it. I know that FL Studio programmers are masters in DSP (Digital Signal Processing) and maybe have some mathematical equations, materials or suggestions, helping me make solve this problem.
