Is it possible to select timeline region in Playlist and Piano Roll without selecting clips and notes?
This is currently not possible. If I remember correctly, Shift + RMB drag is currently redundant and could be assigned as the shortcut for this purpose. Existing option will stay there for those who want it that way, this will just be another option, which is actually more useful based on my experience so far.
Often times all you need is to highlight a region for looping, but with clips getting selected and especially when you are zoomed in you can accidently right click on the clip causing it to be deleted and then having to undo and all. Otherwise you need to click somewhere else in the empty space to deselect the clips first. Unnecessary and very annoying.
Hopefully this makes sense and is easy enough to implement.
Thanks!
