[Solved] Shorten Empty Space of Pattern in Playlist

Is there a way to set the length of the pattern when you draw it in the playlist? Cause I am drawing in patterns but they have a lot of empty space behind them, and I would like to get rid of that empty space where I don't have to shorten it every time I draw the pattern in; because it keeps automatically going to the original length with empty space.


Edit: I also want to add that when you click the pattern on the picker panel it goes back to that original length. You can switch between patterns by clicking on them in the playlist to keep that shorter length.
