For what it's worth, I am not worrying about the hash communicating anything as such, and I prefer to trust IL at their word that it does not.However, I object to being treated as a potential thief by default, now also by Image-Line; and to needing to submit to online technological checks to verify that I'm not pirating FL Studio.
I see such means being used by tech companies as an ongoing case of anti-consumer behavior.
I believe I have explained my concerns enough in previous posts; if you are truly interested in understanding why some of us oppose this change, please take time to read them in full.
To make it clear: no amount of arguments about convenience (or anonymity) of this check will make us support it; its very existence is what we oppose. Only restoring the possibility of fully offline permanent activation via regfile, like in older versions, will solve the issue for me and some others here.
