Good (Morning, Afternoon, Evening),
As the title implies, I am wanting to record another program's audio into FL Studio.
Something similar to Audacity's implementation to using the Windows WASAPI driver. I.E, when selected, Audacity will record any audio that you hear being played.
Whether that be a YouTube video, music being played from VLC or another DAW.
I am wanting to do this since it would be easier than recreating a MOD tracker file from scratch.
I tried to use FL's built-in recording, but that only records my microphone and that is something I do not want at the moment. I want to be able to record my computer's audio and any sound events that occur. I have tried to use 3RD party ASIO drivers but, that leads to FL Studio hard crashing. The driver I used is ASIO2WASAPI. It is open source and can be found on SourceForge.
Am I just missing something obvious or is this something that simply cannot be done in FL Studio for the time being?
Any and all answers will be helpful.
Also, are there any SDKs that I could use to potentially develop a solution to implement into FL Studio for my own personal use?
Thank you,
Franklin James
