Copying/Pasteing Notes

I'm embarrassed to even ask this question--I've been working with midi for well over a decade...

But I can't figure out how to copy notes in FlStudio.

In the piano roll, I'll select a riff (with the select loop), then do a Ctrl-C to copy, then...how do I copy the riff to, say, the next measure? Ctrl-V doesn't do it. Nor Edit/Paste. And how does one actually "mark" where you want the paste to occur? With which "tool"?

I have spent over an hour checking the FL Bible and other Help--I can't find how to do it. It SAYS how to Copy and Paste--but it's not working.

Thanks in advance...
