I am wanting the latest i9 processor the 12900k as it has the fastest single core speed. I guess i may as well go DDR5 as i'm sure within 2-4 years most things will expect it and i'll want this thing to last me a minimum of 10, like my current PC has. (i'm still on an i7 2700k... wow)
Can anyone help out a guy? I built a PC about 18 years ago, that was the last time, i assume not much has changed but i don't wanna get the wrong parts, i had help then and probs need it now!
I'm after
i9-12900k
full tower (to fit in cooling and PCI cards etc)
64GB ram with space to upgrade (but would happily start with 32 i guess), i produce film/tv music so large libraries are used a lot, to the point of breaking this PC and crashing it every single day dozens of times)
Silent GPU card (if it even needs one, i'm not sure it does as the 12-900 can produce 2 monitors right?)
Silent case
Potentially silent cooling like Scott has, although he's not disclosed his build on asking.
What PC have you built recently with what components, care to share how it;s worked out for you?
