drumbrute impact and recording sync/interface issues

I'm using a behringer um2 audio interface and have the drumbrute impact plugged into mic/line one. There's a consistant hissing sound that won't go away. Also while I'm trying to record the drumbrute impact (I have both audio/usb cables plugged in) the recording skips the fraction of the beat; rather than starting with a kick, I'll have the hats start in the sequence. Additionally, I have the drumbrute link with audio channels on the channel rack when I want only the drumbrute to play audio. I'm unsure how to link the drumbrute and flstudio's tempo together so that they won't interfere. It maybe an issue with the drum machine.
