keyboard shortcuts in the fl studio vsti

hey, just wondering what keyboard functions DO/DO NOT work in the fl vsti.

if I hit ctrl and click with my mouse, I can see that the function still works, so ctrl is working. but if I hit ctrl + A (select all, obviously more useful) it does NOT work. so the A key doesn't work in the fl vsti? and why?

- basically, why do certain shortcuts work in the vsti and why do some others not? can I get an idea of which ones will still work? thanks.
