Faint Metronome Sound in Audio Recordings

I've got an issue where every audio recording I make has a very faint metronome sound in it.

I am not recording in the Master Channel (I have selected Insert 1 for recording).

This occurs whether I use my guitar (input 1) or my microphone (input 2).

I have the Insert set to record External Audio only.

Changing the Preview Mixer Track does not help -- the only way that a metronome sound will not be present in the recording is if the metronome is not on while I record (I have tested this by turning the metronome on and off on the same audio recording).

I turn the metronome off when listening so it is not the metronome playing over my recording.

It is very faint -- much quieter than the actual metronome but still noticeable and still identifiable as the metronome.

I need to be able to use my metronome without it showing up in my recordings. Any ideas?
