How to add right level of reverb for depth but not increase volume?

Hi Folks
While trying to add reverb to the instruments in the mix, the volume level increases when trying to add more reverb level to an instrument which I dont want, how do I keep the current volume level but add more reverb to instruments? E.g. I would want the acoustic guitar to be placed at the back of the mix but the vocals upfront, so I add less reverb to the vocal and add more reverb to the guitar but the volume increases when I turn the reverb level on as in this screen grab...any inputs on how to add reverb appropriately will be helpful! Thanks in advance.
