FL Studio saves a new project file after every time I record

This just started happening recently, but now every time I record a new vocal, FL saves the current project I'm working in as a new project. So for example, I'm working in this project called FLStudio.flp, if I record something it will then save the project as a new file named FLStudio2.flp. This is very frustrating because at the end of working on a project I'll have like 20 individual saves of the same project. Anyone else experiencing this issue or know how to fix it? Thanks.
