Question for IL team on using midi input ports in the channel rack

When you insert an instrument vst in the channel rack, and if you were to set the input port on it lets say 1. It plays kind of a double note. Like its passing both on the notes and Midi input port.

How I came to this is in patcher when you place a vst in it automatically connects it to the notes node. If I want any midi controllers to work I have to assign a port number. No problem to do that, but if you have them both connected it sounds just like if you were to place a vst in the channel rack and assign it a port number. That's the best way to record and label the controller to see in the piano roll.

So my question is shouldn't you disconnect the notes when assigning an input port on the vst in the channel rack? Or is this something that you have to work on? If so take your time.

I myself do not place any instrument without being in the patcher in the channel rack.

The patcher runs fine.
