Playlist workflow question

Hi there reader,

I have a question regarding the automatic grouping proces when recording a pattern in the playlist.

When I render a pattern in the playlist, I noticed that a group is automatically formed with the muted pattern underneath. Is it possible to replace the recorded audio with the pattern? Instead of keeping both (muted pattern & recorded audio file) in a group in the playlist?
