Mixer Setup Question

Hi,

I have a problem/questions about the mixer and how it works.

I am trying to set up a generic mixer setup so that I can use it for all of my new tracks, the idea being that I can group all channels into 3 instrument groups (bass, instrument, highs) and EQ (and process them) as appropriate.

However when I try to do EQs through various sends it doesn't work (doesn't make any changes to the instruments EQ). When I EQ a mixer channel directly it does make a change however. Also when I route through different Mixer Inserts the volume of the instrument increases?!

I have uploaded the file using standard FL Studio generators/VSTs so if anyone can help me with this that would be really appreciated!!!!
