New Policy for Independent Beatz

Ahtung, ahtung!

International and European Commission Regulating International Standards of Digital Music Production and Digital Sound Processing announced following standards for kick, snare, hat, midrange noises and any other sounds falling in this categories of Spectral Areas of Audible Range:

#1 - Subbas:

Image

Description: smooth, sinusoidal shape on spectrum with peaks at 50Hz and 5kHz with amplitudes -16dB and -42dB respectively.

Sounds falling in this category: kick, subbas, bass, ambient intergalactic space noise as well as any other containing subbas range.

#2 - Snare:

Image

Description: smooth, cosinusoidal shape on spectrum with peaks at 190Hz and 6kHz with amplitudes -24dB and -30dB in final master respectively.

Sounds falling in this category: snare, toms (with left peak accordingly higher)

#3 - Midrange noises:

Image

Description: smooth, parabolic shape on spectrum with peaks at 1kHz with amplitude -30dB.

Sounds falling in this category: pads, pianos, ambient textures and any other full spectral sounds.

#4 - Hihats:

Image

Description: smooth sinusoidal shape on spectrum with peaks at 250Hz and 7,5kHz with amplitudes -50dB and -24dB respectively

Sounds falling in this category: hihats, crashes, brushes, knives and all metal equipment (Ringing partials not allowed and has to be tamed with peak filter)

Any other sounds not listed in categories above has to be matched to one of the listed categories and equalized the way it gives smooth shape of sine, cosine or parabolic.

All sounds in project has to have Parametric Equalizer applied to make its shapes look EXACTLY like on pictures. If you rich and lazy Izotope Ozone will do it for you automatically. (Remember to use original versions!)

Any other projects containing some dodgy, hairy cepstral peaks or narrow shapes with small radius of its curve will be considered as sabotage of standard, sabotage of system and sabotage of speakers playing at high volumes, negatively rated and banned with further consequences following shortly.

All measurements are taken at -3dB/oct slope with error -6dB. Amend it!

Standard is to be executed by all FLStudio users and controlled by Laffik on FLStudio forum.

And NO partials over 2kHz!

Note how deep is the shape of sine waves. Amplitude of it is at last 24dB. Any flatter sounds will be trolled and bullied as a teenage immature kind.

Danke!

Note: Standard is developed upon works of B. P. Bogert and A. Kolmogorov - great mathematicians of cold war and theoreticians of cepstrum. Note all above kinds create cepstral peaks which cause sonic comfort.
