(not sure if this is the right forum but nothing fits better)
I've seen a bunch of tutorials on YouTube and one thing I notice is that frequently when producers preview clips of a pre-master and post-master, I hear little to no difference. Sometimes a producer will play a song, say it sounds awful, make a few changes, and then they play it again and like it a lot better, but it sounds exactly the same to me.
Are my ears not trained for things like this? What should I be listening for?
