How do I get rid of this thing in the piano roll?

This is a picture of a sound wave in the background on the piano roll. It has no function as far as I can tell. I got it there by dragging and dropping a sample onto the piano roll by accident. I can change it by dropping another one on but I'm unable to remove it. Please help.
