Extraction and Folders, also legal question/copyright

I have two questions.

1. Should I extract every .zip from my library into its own folder inside of the directwave, or just unzip all loosely into inside the directwave folder? How do you do it?

2. I did send an email. According to the manual on the copyright page, we may not use anything whatsoever from the Demo or Misc folders. Are we allowed to use the loops and samples in other folders? Where is the line drawn in the sand with instrument packs purchased from the image-line shop? How do I know which ones I have to get consent for? I've sent out a lot of emails and doubt I will get any replies. What are we allowed to use in commercial works, and what requires permission?

A guy got sued by Deadmau5 for using samples. I don't want to wind up in the same boat.
