16 Bit Chiptune with SF2 file in Directwave

I'm trying to make something with the mega man X Soundfont in directwave but the instruments all seem to stop after half a second. If I loop it, then the sustained note is just a repeat of it, is there a way to make the note sustain itself more smoothly?
