How to make samples matching tempo AND desired pitch ?

Hello,

I've been reading manual and forums out there but didn't find the answer to my question.

I got some funky 116 BPM samples from C4 to C5
On project set to 116, works well.

But if I change the project BPM, like to 124 (probable for funky stuff..)

Then the tempo is not matching, samples just are not stretched in time. So I tried something..

Beat Sync activated, Time Stretching Mode activated, and Time Stretching Sync Activated, and pretty much every ON/OFF combination between them..

(or is there a one I missed ?)

As written in the manual https://www.image-line.com/fl-studio-learning/fl-studio-online-manual/html/plugins/DirectWave.htm,
Time (switch) - When selected, the Zone will be played using time stretching system.
Sync (switch) - When selected, the time stretching time will be expressed in ticks (1/4 beat).
It feels like we can't fit the project tempo AND keep the original tuning of each sample, so that tuning doesn't change depending on BPM.

So how could I mess with that so that my DirectWave patch doesn't only work for 116 BPM projects ?

Thank you for any help in advance,

Mathieu, proud FL user
