One pad cutting another

Hey!

New to the FPC and I have fallen in love. My question is, is there a way to make it so when you push a pad, it cuts a previous pad that is playing? I know how to get a note to cut itself but in FL in general I can never figure out how to make pads cut other pads, or even how to make a kick cut an 808 in the channel rack.
What am I missing?
