Can anyone help with video cue points in zgame?

I've watched every single youtube video there is. I've read every single forum post discussing this "feature".

I open midi out instance, set its port and channel to the midi port on zgame visualizer as instructed.

I add a video clip as an "image" (I also tried it with BufferBlender and VideoAlpha).

My goal is to try to trigger a cue point with a midi note so I go in per the manual's instructions and start at C5 going upwards up the octave.

I don't understand the part where people put in digits for the video cue points in the grey box. I tried putting random values or just starting at 0.1 and going up to 1.0. I also tried going from 1 to 10. None of it worked.

Why? Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong or is it just another 1 of the million bugs in zgame?

I'm extremely frustrated, I think I have maybe 5 more pieces of hair to pull out of my head before going completely bald LOL
