Speakers picking up electrical noise?

Hey,

I've been having this problem with my iPhone where whenever some calls or sends a text message or even e-mail pops up it interferes with my BX5 speakers. I get these sporadic short bursts of noise. They are sort of similar to like a modem but more like a saw wave fluctuating and it is very interruptive obviously. I have my speakers plugged in to a surge protector seperate from the others and even plugged into a different wall socket (but I assume the flurry passes through all the recepticals). Any ideas? Do I need to get a transformer or something to regulate the electricity? Help please.
