MIDI keyboard key accidentally mapped to PANNING offset automation

not sure how to change it back. there is no panning knob showing tweaked on anything, not the master, the plugin, the channel rack etc. nothing is showing that it's panned except the stereo meter in the mixer, my ears, and the hint pannel.

so now, when the key is played, in any project, it offsets the panning on the selected track.

i'd be happy with just a midi reset. can't find any option for that though.
