Controlling the mixer with a DIY MIDI Controller

Hi everyone

So i'm trying to build my own little MIDI controller with an arduino. Im thinking of something like the Alphatrack by Frontier Design or the Faderport by Presonus.

What the controller should be able to do:
  • next/previous channel buttons
  • a fader that chages the volume of the selected channel
  • mute/solo buttons
  • if possible a motorized fader (not quite sure on that one yet)
I got the normal transport control (play/stop etc.) to work by sending SysEx MMC messages.
But i cant find anything on how to change the selected mixer channel.

Does anyone of you guys have an idea on how to achieve that?

And is it possible to get the mixer channel volume to my controller (to adjust the fader position when changing channels)?
