can edit parameters in edison with mpd knobs?

hi.. is it possible to edit the start/end points of a sample in edison,
using an mpd's rotary knobs?
just like how they do on a real mpc?
don't like using the mouse to highlight, and all that..
wondering if the knobs on the mpd can adjust loop points in edison
