M-audio Oxygen pro different instruments setup, how?

The Oxygen pro has, my version, has 49 piano keys and 16 drum pads. connected to windows 7 by USB cable.

I have setup my MIDI as such (link source:

Output:
Oxygen pro 49 port --> MIDI Hardware port, port 1
MIDIOUT2 (Oxygen Pro 49) --> M-audio Oxygen 39/61 port 2
MIDIOUT3 (Oxygen Pro 49) --> Mackie Control Universal port 3
MIDIOUT4 (Oxygen Pro 49) --> M-audio Oxygen 39/61 port 4


INPUT:

I read about changing the input like so, from other posts, but they don't work for me:

- Channel rack
- Right click instrument
- click "Receive notes from"

but whatever I choose, I always get the same instrument if I try piano keys and pads.

Is there an possibility to play completely different instruments with piano keys and pads?
