Resolved - Novation REmote not showing up on MacBook Air M1

Hi everyone,
I'm using Producer Edition 20.9.2 on a MacBook Air M1 with Monterey 12.3.1
Trying to get my old Novation REmote 49 running. It runs just fine on my old Macbook late 2011 with Sierra and is showing up in MIDI options of the FL Studio install on the old machine.
On the new MacBook Air it is showing up at least on the USB device list when doing a system report in the "about this mac" section, but not when I'm running the MIDI-Studio utility programm included in the OS. Consequentely (?) it's also not showing in the MIDI options list on FL Studio.

I tried
  • installing the 3.1 driver from novation.
  • the different USB ports without anything else connected
  • refresh in MIDI-Studio utility programm as suggested on Apple support page - nothing recognized
  • to add the REmote manually in MIDI-studio- not sure if I did it right
Although I fear it's an incompatibility issue, I thought giving it a try here that maybe someone has an idea what might be the solution.
I love my REmote and would love to use it in the above setup.

Thanks a bunch!

Edit 27.04.22
I tried also
  • A new USB cable directly from USB-B (square one) to USB-C, in order to exclude the adapter as cause - still nothing recognized
Edit 2 27.04.22

Finally I found a way:
  • The remote gets power supply from the USB but MIDI is going via MIDI cable into audio interface (Motu M4), from there into the MacBook Air, et voila it works
