This seems like the holy grail;
Does anyone know a way where I can trigger a midi note to be played upon a gate being triggered and have midi note length be dictated by the release or similar?
The application: I would like to hit a midi drum trigger (which is a very short note) and have it simultaneously (think live application) trigger another midi instrument in tandem that the midi note can be adjusted to be longer than the percussion hit. I see the solution for PC users looks like ReaGate but unfortunately doesnt work on mac.
Summarized: Anyone know of any other gate or plug that can send midi note data signal out based on the threshold/release information? I am savvy in Patcher as well if someone knows a way to execute this with native plugs. I have been unsuccessful so far in all my attempts. Thanks a million!
