Wavetable synth issue

I made a wavetable synth test and the wave it plays doesn't sound entirely like a 25% pulse wave. It sounds filtered and I can't find a reason why this is happening. Is there some kind of smoothing going on between the wavetable samples? If so, can I disable it?

The image below shows what I have done. The attached audio file plays the sound synthmaker makes (first one) and what sound I was expecting (second one)

EDIT:
Took a few images of different waves with wave candy and I can tell that there is definitely something wrong with how synthmaker handles the wavetable. Below is a picture of these waves as well as the actual wavetables I used.

50% Pulse [1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0]
25% Pulse [1,1,1,1,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0]
12% Pulse [1,1,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0]
