Basics about inteegrating SM with FL

I would like to see included into the FL SM tutorial a simple quick guide explaining the relationship between FL modules and those SM modules required to integrate SM into FL....I mean, how to link pan,vol etc...which is covered....but also how to enable a control to receive automation and be able to be linked to an automation source.

Would be nice to have simple tutorial projects for this, otherwise the learning curve is too steep (for me anyways)...the rest is about SM itself so I can cover that with teh SM documentation.
