My components have gone missing!

Hi - I'm pretty confused - something has gone very strange in SM where there are loads of components and groups missing from the LHS e.g. Element, Maths, Compare etc. - however if I load a schematic then missing elements are present in the schematic (loads fine) and can be copied and pasted?! I have attached a screenshot.

This is killing me - can't build stuff any more!
