Global content on non-editable pages

Hi,

I'm having trouble configuring/understanding this:

From EZG Help I read:
- Global: when enabled, same editable area content can be shared between multiple editable pages.
To use global option, add global editable areas (with same name) on different editable pages.
Global content can also be displayed on non-editable pages via javascript:
<script type="text/javascript" src="members/user1.php?action=content&tag=footer"></script>
I have an editable page already with an editable area. File name "noticias_generales", editable filed name: "noticias"

I want "noticias" to appear on another page I have placed:
<script type="text/javascript" src="/noticias_generales.php?action=content&tag=noticias"></script>

That didn't work. I tried renaming the target page from html to php, no difference.

All pages are in root.

Can you kindly guide me into doing this correctly. I have no doubt its something simple!

Thanks
