Adjusting patches in Kontakt 5 causes channel rack to switch channels?

I've been using a single instance of Kontakt with multiple patches connecting to individual MIDI out channels, which has been working out very well. The only issue is that when I want to adjust the settings on one of the patches the FL channel rack automatically switches back to the main Kontakt channel and brings me back to whatever the first patch I loaded was. If I want to hear the MIDI out channel I had just adjusted I have to go back up to the channel rack and select that channel every time I make an adjustment it in Kontakt.
