I don't know why there appears not to be that much information on how to use those nice Drum Kits generated directly by Drumaxx (forget that stuff about using Drumpad!) and get them into the Piano Roll where they can be used in the song? It's like this-- (1) add the Drumaxx to a Channel as normal; (2) bring up the Drumaxx Percussion Synthesizer and choose your trouble, e.g., Drum Kit - Rock 1 MC. It's probably playing on Pattern 1, Triggering on some note ( C5), with a Pattern length of 16 and a Pattern bar on the 1st light; (3) As rightly stated previously, the Piano Roll seems to trigger Drumaxx-- but this knowledge doesn't get the beat into the Piano Roll!; (4) Note the Drumaxx sequencer lights/choices in Pattern 1 for Drum Kit selected as it plays-- now select Pattern 2, 3 and 4 to change the beat up a bit-- you must stop and spend time at each Pattern change (2, 3, etc.) and go thru all the drum pads to create variation for Patterns 1 - 4 (or less if you like); (5) Note that at each Pattern change, you must also change the trigger (e.g., from Pattern 1 C5, to Pattern 2 C#5, to Pattern 3 D5 and so on). You must also fill in these sequence changes for each Bar button (no label but 1, 2, 3 and 4). For some reason, this doesn't appear to be necessary for the first Pattern1 ? (6) Now on to the Piano Roll where you should see the C5, C#5, D5 and D#5 highlighted together (if you've done the above and changed the triggers as I mentioned). Now choose the Piano Roll Draw tool and select the Pattern number (now 0, 1, 2 and 3; equate to Drumaxx 1,2,3 and 4) to make to beats you want (stretch/expand the drawn note as required). Also note that Drumaxx Pattern 1 seems to be Piano Roll Pattern 0, Drumaxx Pattern 2, Piano Roll Pattern 1 and so on. Hope this helps-- may make the video on this!
