Simulating ears

Hello,

today I tried to create a setup that allows me to locate sounds. But there are some things that I can't implement.
surround.PNG
1) I need an adjustable delay for each ear (which will base off the distance to the audio source)
2) My current implementation doesn't consider the fact that human ears are oriented to the front (green). In my implementation, left and right channel are at 50% when the audiosource is right in front of the head.

Do you have any tips on how to create adjustable delays, solve that ear-orientation-thingy or onw how to simulate ears in general?

Best regards
