Recording Patcher-generated Internal Controller signals

This has been on my mind for a while: To send Internal Controller signals (IC) generated inside Patcher to the outside, to be recorded as Events.

At first, apparently the only way was via conversion to audio as described here: viewtopic.php?t=161333.

Then came @fichti's ingenious "VFX MIDI to IC" plugin to convert MIDI CC to IC data, which is designed to also allow sending IC data out of Patcher into the Event Editor (viewtopic.php?p=1468733#p1468733). With "VFX MIDI to IC", multiple ICs can be recorded simultaneously (viewtopic.php?p=1468878#p1468878). However, this plugin currently only takes MIDI CCs as input, but not IC.

Then it occurred to me recently that MIDI CC can be generated from IC using the MIDI Out plugin (https://www.image-line.com/fl-studio-learning/fl-studio-online-manual/html/plugins/MIDI%20Out.htm).

So, when combining these modules, Patcher-generated IC can actually be sent out and recorded by way of: 1.) generating IC in Patcher (e.g. Fruity Peak Controller), --> 2.) converting them to MIDI CC (MIDI Out), --> 3.) reverting those back to IC (VFX MIDI to IC) and --> 4.) finally sending these out to Events (also VFX MIDI to IC).

Here is a respective Patcher preset (in Generator and Effect version), which allows for sending and simultaneously recording multiple Patcher-generated IC outside of Patcher.

Please note that the preset requires @fichti's free "VFX MIDI to IC" plugin to be installed. For download, see: viewtopic.php?f=100&t=197723. Moreover, for recording the Events, the "Recording filter > Automation" (accessible by right-clicking on the "Record" button) needs to be activated (see pic). Also, following @fichti's instructions for recording "VFX MIDI to IC" (viewtopic.php?p=1468733#p1468733), one needs to "right-click on the plugin and activate any parameter under 'Input > Parameters' (No need to connect it to anything)". In the preset above, they should already be activated for the CCs used.

In the Event Editor, the Events recorded into a single Pattern can then be split, and converted to Automation Clips, if desired.
