I had a song made using GMS in 2017 and had no issues, but I opened it today (it was preloaded as it was the last thing I had open) and it says my "sound modules were saved in demo mode and were reset and disabled", and that I need to buy GMS again.
Upon opening the file again, it doesn't give the error message and everything works perfectly.
Not sure what causes this, but I am sure I had bought GMS in the past, but restoring purchases does not make it say 'Bought' - not sure if you guys changed something accidentally in a new update or something, but it's definitely bugged.
