I've posted about this before, with no reply, so I've change the subject line, but I've also researched the problem further.
In the past I would copy FL Studio files from iTunes to a back up drive for extra security. This no longer works. MOST folders and files back up, but two do not. Unfortunantly one of those that doesn't work is my Songs folder. This is the folder I most want to back up.
If I pull the folder from iTunes and save it anywhere on my Mac (or on an external drive). The save fails. I this message:
I don't think there are duplicate file names in the Songs folder, although there are similar file names, I guess it's possible they are truncated and that's causing the problem. The other folder this happens to is My Drumsets. There are files in there with the same names, albeit with capitals and lower case letters in different places.
Can anyone tell me what's going on here, what I'm doing wrong and how I can back-up?
I'd also like to know if my existing songs will be altered if I delete drumsets.
I have two iPads, this happens on both.
