Imported Sound files have silence at beginning and end?

I do a lot of "traditional" sample chop based "boom bap" stuff in FL Studio Mobile (iOS).

However, I first make my chops in a separate app. The "twisted wave" (I'll refer to as TW moving forward) app for iOS.

And I'll either export them to .wav or .MP3 , for use in FL Studio Mobile (which I'll refer to as FLSM moving forward).

I find that when opening them in FLSM, there's silence at the beginning of the audio file (sometimes trailing at the end too) but the silence is *not* there in TW.
It's enough to cause issues with timing.

However, opening the same audio files in other audio editing apps does *not* show any leading or trailing silences either.

So it has to be FLSM arbitrarily adding these silences upon import.

Why is it doing this, any way to make it stop, et cetera?
