CPU load MAC beta

every time I get towards the end of a project, my CPU usage goes to the point where the track will hardly play, then as soon as i add the ozone 8 to the master channel its pretty much game over, and until i take that back off, the track wont play, the cpu using is clipping up to 90's throughout the project, any idea how to help this? im using a Macbook pro 2015 model, 8GB ram, through a focusrite2I2 interface, also have the buffer length set to highest with smart disable plugins on but still have no luck. any suggestions would be great
