Midi input problems Native Mac Alpha

FL works perfectly for audio editing (way more solid than the windows version in fact) but Music production is...clumsy. The MIDI communication between FL and my Alesis QX49 is really inaccurate. It's a bit difficult to describe, but my best guess is that the program is having a hard time receiving multiple MIDI inputs at once. If I go to input a C chord for example, it will play one of the three notes in the chord, but the other two will not play. it wont let me input more than one note at a time. There's also an issue of notes sticking down when you play too quickly. the note will continue to ring out until you hit the note on the keyboard again, or hit the stop button. Maybe I'm the only one with this issue though, as I don't see it listed anywhere on the OP. Is anyone else experiencing this? I can probably record a video to show exactly what I'm talking about.
