[144] Edison crackling (xruns?)

Hello,
first let me say thank you a lot for the Mac version of FL Studio. It's been working fantastic for me over the last few days.
Ok enough gushing praise!

I have one issue with Edison that makes it hard to use:
When recording after some time (20-40 seconds) it starts to produce cracking noises which effectively sound like xruns.
However the underrun count remains 0 under Audio Settings.

My Mac is a 2017 Macbook Pro 13" with an i5 and 8GB of ram.
No other Program is running while recording and there are at least 2GB RAM available.
The issue persists with multiple soundcards (internal, Behringer UCA202 as well as UMC404HD) and multiple external audio sources.

Upping buffer length from 256 to 512 or even 1024 samples strangely has no effect.
What does help a little is decreasing the sample rate from 48kHz to 44.1kHz.

One thing I noticed is that Edison's GUI seems to be "lagging" while recording. So I reduced Smoothing, Animations and some other stuff under General Settings. It seems to help a little but not too much.

My Project is empty except for Edison which is recording an external audio source on track 2 and the default limiter on the master track.

I think it's noteworthy I don't have any issues when recording directly into the playlist (without Edison).

Is there anything else I could / should try (besides buying a more powerful computer, haha).
Or this this a known issue?
