FL 20.8.1 Project Corrupted - Invalid Notes?

Hello -

Today I wrote an awesome piece using my copy of FL Studio. It is the most recent. here is a screenshot of my version.


I run Windows 10, though not exactly the latest version.

Anyways, after saving my awesome project, I clicked the "x" on the top left of the program.
The screen froze, blurred out, and crashed.

Now, I want to reopen my project. (the blurring and crashing after "x-ing" out of the program has been happening for months now, so its usually ok.)

Except this time, I opened my project and got this message:

Regardless of whether I press yes or no, I get a completely empty project, mixer, and playlist. There is one instance of slicex open, with my sample name loaded, but no waveform info. There are my midi patterns... but my plugins aren't there. here's a screen of that.

I am extremely unimpressed, and frustrated. This new project was extremely cool, and made me very proud.

What can I do? I want to retrieve my work
