VST2 Mono output issue again...

So as in this topic: viewtopic.php?p=1680987#p1680987

New plugins reproducing this behavior: after the latest Plugin Alliance 01.22 maintenance update, all updated VST2 plugins output in mono when inserted into FL Studio mixer channel. VST3 is fine. Tried asking PA for legacy installers, but so far they have been unable to deliver.

To reproduce: install for example the bx_console SSL 4000 E, insert the VST2 version into a mixer channel and behold the monaural sound. Since this is the second time this issue appears, maybe some creative cross-referencing could offer some insights how to finally solve this issue?
